This Privacy Policy explains how Blue Pine Holdings LLC ("we," "us" or "our") collects, uses and shares personal information through AnimalTrainerPro (animaltrainerpro.com, the "Site"). It covers two groups of people: people who use the Site, and trainers and businesses listed on the Site. Our Terms of Use also apply.

We do not sell personal information about people who use the Site. We explain below what happens with information about listed trainers.

1. Information about listed trainers

Where it comes from

We build listings from public sources, and we name the source on every profile. Our sources include:

professional association directories, such as the Certified Horsemanship Association, Pet Professional Guild, National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors, American Riding Instructors Association, United States Dressage Federation, Assistance Dogs International, the Animal Behavior Society, and the Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums;
franchise location pages published by training companies;
the trainer's own public website; and
government records, such as public United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal Welfare Act licensee records.

When a trainer claims a listing, we also collect what the trainer gives us, such as account details, business email, phone, website, notes and listing updates.

What we collect

Name, business name, city, state or province, country, the animals they work with, services, credentials and the issuing organization, the source and source link, and business contact details published by the source (email, phone, website). Some sources list a street address. We store it privately and never show street addresses on the Site.

What is public and what is not

Shown to everyone: name, business name, city and state or province, animals, specialties, credentials and the source.
Shown only to Unlimited Access subscribers and to the trainer who claimed the listing: the business email, phone number and website on file.
Held back until the listing is claimed: for listings in Canada, and for listings that come from USDA licensee records, we do not show any contact details to subscribers until the trainer claims the listing.
Never shown: street addresses and map coordinates.

Paid subscribers can see the business contact details listed above. Under some state laws, letting paying users view this information could be called a "sale." Any listed trainer can ask us to remove or correct their listing at any time (see Section 6).

2. Information about people who use the Site

Account information: your email address and password (stored in protected form by our authentication provider).
Payment information: when you subscribe, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your card and billing details. We do not see or store your full card number. We receive limited details from Stripe, such as your subscription status, plan, billing dates and the last digits of your card.
Claim and removal requests: the details you put in these forms, such as your name, business email, phone, website, note and reason.
Messages you send us.
Records of your agreement: the version of our Terms, Privacy Policy and automatic renewal terms you agreed to, when you agreed, and your IP address and browser details at that time.
Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and basic log data. We use cookies and similar tools that are needed to keep you signed in and to run the Site. If we add analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy and honor your choices.

3. How we use information

to run the directory and show listings;
to create and manage accounts, subscriptions and Featured placements;
to process payments and send receipts, renewal notices and other account messages;
to review claims, removal requests and corrections;
to keep the Site safe, prevent fraud, scraping and misuse, and enforce our Terms;
to contact listed trainers about their listing, as allowed by law (every such email tells you how to stop getting them);
to improve the Site; and
to follow the law and respond to legal requests.

With subscribers: business contact details of listed trainers, as described in Section 1.
With service providers who work for us: our payment processor (Stripe), our hosting and database providers, and our email delivery provider. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
For legal reasons: when the law requires it, to respond to valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public or us.
In a business transfer: if our business is sold, merged or reorganized, information may move to the new owner, who must honor this policy.
With your direction: when you ask us to share it.

We do not sell or rent personal information about people who use the Site, and we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising.

5. Your privacy rights

No matter where you live, you can ask us to:

tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy;
correct information that is wrong;
delete your information;
stop any sale or sharing of your information (for listed trainers, this means removing your listing or holding back your contact details); and
explain a decision we made about your request and reconsider it (an appeal).

Email bluepineholdingsllc@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy request." We may need to confirm your identity first, for example by email. You may use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof that the agent may act for you. We will answer within 45 days, and we will tell you if we need more time. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

We honor Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing.

6. Listed trainers: remove or correct your listing

You can ask us to remove or correct your listing at any time, whether or not you have claimed it. Use the "Remove my listing" link on your profile, the remove or correct a listing page, or email bluepineholdingsllc@gmail.com. We may ask you to confirm you are the person or business listed. We aim to act within 10 business days.

When we remove a listing at your request, we keep a short record (such as your name, city, state and website) only so that the listing is not added back in the future.

7. Canada

If you are in Canada, your information is stored and processed in the United States, where it may be accessed by courts, law enforcement and national security authorities under United States law. We handle personal information of Canadians in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). For listings in Canada, we use business contact information only to help people contact the trainer about their business, and we do not show contact details to subscribers until the trainer claims the listing. You may ask to see, correct or remove your information, or ask a question about our practices, by contacting our privacy contact at bluepineholdingsllc@gmail.com. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Any commercial email we send to people in Canada follows Canada's Anti Spam Legislation, identifies us, and includes a way to unsubscribe.

8. Email

We send account and transaction emails, such as receipts, renewal notices and claim updates. If we send marketing emails, each one will include our postal address and a way to unsubscribe, and we will honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.

9. How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. Account and subscription records are kept while your account is open and for up to 7 years after, for tax, accounting and legal reasons. Records of your agreement to our Terms and to automatic renewal are kept for at least 3 years, or 1 year after your subscription ends, whichever is longer. Removal records are kept so a removed listing is not added back. Listing information is kept while the listing is published, and we update or remove it as we learn of changes.

10. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, such as encryption in transit, access controls and limits on who can see contact details. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee security. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

11. Children

The Site is not meant for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you by email or on the Site before a material change takes effect.
