How results are sorted

AnimalTrainerPro is a directory. Here is exactly how we decide the order you see.

1. Featured listings come first. Featured is a paid placement. Trainers who have claimed their listing can pay to show first on the home page, their state page and their animal pages. Every Featured listing carries a "Featured" label and the words "Paid placement." If more than one listing is Featured, we decide their order.

2. Then claimed listings. A claimed listing has been taken over by the trainer or business it describes. Claiming is free.

3. Then everyone else. Listings that show a city come before listings without one, and then listings are sorted by name.

We do not take payment for any other change to the order, and we do not take payment to remove or hide a listing. Featured placement is advertising. It is not a review, rating, recommendation or endorsement, and we do not check trainers' credentials, licenses or insurance. Please read our Terms of Use and check any trainer yourself before you hire them.
